Balance

Balance – Poem by David Moylan

When I think about forever, and what it has to hold,

In my limited imagination, a story does unfold.

A dance of cosmic balance, where light and shadow meet,

In harmony they waltz around, partners sure of feet.

The sun and moon in tandem, sharing sky and sea,

A rhythm of existence, as nature’s symphony.

Mountains rise in grandeur, while valleys dip in grace,

Each peak and hollow evidence, of gods eternal embrace.

The storm and calm together, a cycle ever true,

Teaching us that balance is found in all we do.

Joy and sorrow mingling, lessons to impart,

The balance of emotions, the symphony of the heart.

For in the quiet moments, where stillness meets the sound,

We find the gentle balance, where peace is truly found.

So when I think about forever, and what it has to hold,

I see a world in balance, a story yet untold.
