Finding The Middle Ground

The Tale of God Above and Mother Below

Up in the sky, God ruled with care,

And down in the earth, Mother lived there.

They loved one another, or so they believed,

A bond so strong, they were never deceived.

God liked things tidy, with stars all in line,

Mother liked chaos, she was wild and divine.

They’d meet in the middle, on Earth’s lively ground,

Sometimes they’d giggle, sometimes they’d frown.

One day they argued, big thunder and rain

“I’ll seal off Heaven,” said God, “it’s less strain.”

Mother agreed, with a stomp and a sigh,

“I’ll lock up the Earth, where the oceans lie.”

Now they only meet where Earth turns real slow,

Sometimes they clash, and sometimes they glow.

Storms when they’re grumpy, sunshine when bright,

Their love, like the weather, it changes each night.

The lesson, dear friends, before you go rest,

Is that love isn’t perfect, but it still is the best.

You don’t have to match in all that you do,

Just find common ground, or go grow something new.

Moral, Even when we don’t always agree, love finds its way in the space between the “Middle ground” if there is no middle ground then walk away.
