Subject: Formal Complaint & Safeguarding Notice – Mental Health Interventions Without Consent
Dear Complaints Department,
I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the deeply distressing and unwarranted interventions I have been subjected to by mental health staff dispatched from the Royal Liverpool Hospital.
Over recent days, I have had ten different mental health professionals either visit or contact me, including individuals who arrived at my home without my request, consent, or prior knowledge. At no point have I been given a clear explanation of why this is happening or what justification has been used to treat me as a risk.
Let me be clear:
I am not a danger to myself or anyone else. I am not under criminal suspicion. I have expressed myself calmly and clearly, but have been ignored, labelled, and repeatedly pushed into unwanted contact with mental health teams.
This behaviour is both invasive and traumatic, and it amounts to harassment. I am now formally withdrawing any and all consent for further home visits or mental health interventions, unless there is an actual medical emergency. This letter serves as my official Safeguarding Notice against further unsolicited contact.
I am demanding:
A written explanation of why I have been subjected to this level of contact; A formal apology for the mental distress and reputational damage caused; Written assurance that no further professionals will be sent to my home without my explicit consent; The immediate removal of any mental health review or label added to my NHS record as a result of these unsolicited and non-consensual interventions.
If these demands are not taken seriously, I will escalate the matter through public, legal, and professional channels. I will not be quietly silenced or labelled for expressing myself. I have every right to protect my autonomy and dignity, and I will.
I expect a full response within 14 days.
Sincerely,
