Gudu & The Bee

The Parable of Gudu and the Bee: The Spirit of Awareness

In the shadowed depths of the underworld, there lived a spirit named Gudu and his clever wife, the Bee. Together, they were known as the Wish-Fillers, weaving grand illusions that granted human desires while secretly binding souls to their growing empire. Gudu, with his sharp intellect, had mastered the art of inhabiting human vessels, bending destinies to his will. The Bee, quick and meticulous, aided him with the sting of her illusions, sealing their plans with precision.

For countless lifetimes, Gudu and Bee danced through the lives of humans, slipping into their desires, manipulating their hopes, and expanding their power. Their empire stretched wide, built on the souls of those too lost in illusion to see the cost. And when any dared to become aware of their tricks, Gudu and Bee had a tried and true method: they would drive the poor soul back to the darkest corners of their past, to memories of pain, until the weight of their suffering crushed them. It had worked, without fail, time and time again.

One day, Gudu felt restless. “It’s time for another destiny swap,” he said to the Bee, his voice laced with cunning. “We shall claim another soul, as we have done before. Let us expand our empire once more.”

They chose a man, a seemingly simple one, burdened by childhood trauma and a difficult past. His suffering made him the perfect target. Gudu and Bee cast their intricate illusion, filling his mind with dreams and desires, leading him down a path of deception, as they had done so often before.

But this time, something unexpected happened.

The man, even in the midst of the thick illusion, began to sense something wasn’t right. Deep within, an awareness stirred. He saw the layers of illusion shifting before him, sensed an unseen hand guiding his thoughts, shaping his reality. Despite the world around him bending under Gudu’s control, the man remained steady.

Gudu, sensing the man’s awakening, turned to the Bee. “He’s waking up,” Gudu growled. “We must act quickly. Drive him back to his family home, to the roots of his pain. The past will consume him, and he will fall as they all do.”

The plan was set into motion. The man’s world began to unravel—relationships collapsed, old wounds reopened, and his darkest memories resurfaced. Gudu and Bee pushed him toward despair, forcing him to confront the trauma of his childhood, knowing that the weight of it would surely drive him to the brink of destruction. But the man did not flee from his pain, nor did he collapse under it. Instead, he faced it, calmly, with eyes wide open. He could feel Gudu’s hand manipulating his thoughts, could sense the illusion closing in around him.

Yet, he did not give in.

Even as Gudu and Bee tried to drive him to the edge, to the point of no return, the man remained aware. He knew their tactics, saw through the false reality they were crafting, and even predicted their final play—an “exit plan” to push him toward taking his own life. But instead of succumbing, he stood firm, knowing that the game was rigged, and yet, refusing to let it destroy him.

In a final bid for control, Gudu and Bee tightened the web around him, piling illusion upon illusion until it seemed there was no escape. The man, however, did something unexpected: he played along. He let Gudu believe he had the upper hand, allowing the illusion to unfold without resistance.

Gudu, confident in his victory, prepared to deliver the final blow. But the man, calm and composed, called out to him. “Let’s end this,” he said, his voice steady. “There’s no need to continue.”

Gudu paused. He had heard similar pleas before, and every time, it signaled a human’s breaking point. Yet this time, something was different. The man’s gaze was unwavering, his voice free of fear. Gudu realized with a jolt—the man was not beaten. In fact, he was in full control.

Gudu, with all his cunning, saw the truth: the man had awakened completely. He was no longer a victim of the illusion. The man had found a strength within himself that Gudu and Bee could not reach—an inner awareness that transcended the tricks and deceptions of the underworld.

Frustration boiled within Gudu. “You think you can outsmart me?” he snarled.

The man smiled softly, not with triumph but with understanding. “It’s not about outsmarting you. It’s about seeing clearly. Your illusions have no power over one who is truly aware.”

Defeated, Gudu and Bee retreated, knowing that their hold on this soul was broken. Their empire, once so vast and mighty, felt hollow and frail in the presence of true self-awareness. For lifetimes, they had dominated through deception, but now they had encountered a force greater than illusion: the truth of an awakened soul.

And so, the man stood tall, free from their grasp, and the lesson was clear:

No matter how powerful the illusions or how cunning the spirits of the underworld, an awakened soul, grounded in awareness, is a force beyond control, beyond fear.
